What is 3G?

3 G sounds much more complicated than it is. Basically all 3G refers to is the data speed your mobile device connects at. 3G devices connect in the region of 384kbps (kilobits per second) Compare this with the average home broadband connection which runs at around 2Mbps (megabits per second) and the old style 56K modems which run at 56kbps.
